Used Toyota Liteace

Toyota launched the Liteace, a medium-size van, in 1970. It was distributed primarily in Asia, Africa, and Australia. It was offered in two different styles: the first is box-like and angular in design with striking similarities to the Nissan C22 and the second is more MPV-like in design that took styling clues from the Hiace, a passenger van very popular in the European market. There were several Liteace models. Two of the more popular are the Liteace GXL and the Liteace Noah. The Noah is the most recent Liteace model before the series was replaced by the Toyota Noah. The Toyota Liteace, a four-wheel drive, comes with a 1998 cc 2.0-liter engine or a 2.2-liter engine. Both engines have diesel as well as petrol versions. A turbo diesel is also available. Transmission is a five-speed automatic. The Lightace GXL is well equipped. Standard features include power steering, power locks and windows, remote central locking, fog lights, front and rear bull bar, an excellent JVC audio system, keyless entry and alarm, roofrail, roofrack, crystal lite roof, sunroof, and air conditioning. The Liteace is a versatile people carrier. It is spacious, seating a maximum of 8 adults. Headroom and legroom is ample. The boot can accommodate a considerable amount of luggage. Space availability is increased by the presence of folding rear row seats that can be moved to face one another, which makes for a great “conference room” for the family. Front and rear visibility is great with driver’s driving properly positioned and mirrors strategically located. Both the 2.0-liter and 2.2-liter perform well, though the 2.0 turbo liter is not very fast off the block. Around town, however, the Liteace is agile. Long distance travels is comfortable. But what makes the used Toyota Liteace really standout among rivals in its class, is its excellent fuel consumption. The 45mpg is definitely not bad, considering the car is no lightweight. The Liteace Noah, the most recent Liteace, understandably is even more equipped than the GXL. An eight-seater like the GXL, the Noah comes with a 2.2-liter turbo diesel mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. It has ABS, dual air conditioning, airbags, electric windows, remote central locking, flip-up seats to give more space, fold-down rear seats to form a bed, privacy glass, spotlights, and rear spoilers. The Liteace has all the features that can make both driver and passengers comfortable. The only limitation is the rather high cost of insurance.
